If any of you northerners feel like checking out some contemporary jewellery pop into Gaffa Gallery for the Explorations 09 exhibition on until the 25th October.

This years exhibition showcases the work of over 250 contemporary jewellers from Australia and New Zealand and includes wearable art and objects made from a number of precious and non-precious materials. For the first time this years show will also be travelling to Melbourne's Guildford Lane Gallery from the 4th - 12th December.

The Godmother of Australian Contemporary Jewellery...

It's a bit late notice but all that can should get down to Gallery Funaki tomorrow night for an exhibition of new works by Marian Hosking : Silver Seams and Small Blocks. The show runs from May 5th to May 30th at 4 Crossley St, Melbourne. A must see!

It's That Time Again!

Yes it's time again for the fantastic Craft Hatch Market by Craft Victoria!

Come down to the City Library (that's the one at 253 Flinders Lane NOT the State Library on Swanston St for those of you who got a little confused last time ;) this Saturday the 4th of April between 11 - 4pm.

The Fox and The Crow

Hi there, so it's been a while between posts but i've been trying to get my hands on some photos of The Fox and the Crow exhibition opening night and some of the works as well. I'll be putting some up as soon as i get them - promise. All in all the show was a success with heaps of people coming to the opening and through the gallery afterward as well. Thanks heaps to Stacy and Yolande for all their support throughout the process, it was a great help!

C3 Contemporary Art Space

I just found out about a new show opening this Wednesday 4th of February 6-9pm at the Abbotsford Convent's C3 Contemporary Art Space. There are 5 shows spread over 3 galleries including the 'Wanderlust' installation by Rachel Feery and Alanna Lorenzon which i'm sure will be lots of child like fun judging by Rachel's last show. There is also a group jewellery show 'Colour Accord' which i will definitely be checking out!

Craft Hatch Market

If your out and about in ol Melbourne town this weekend take the time to check out the Craft Hatch Market put on by Craft Victoria at the City Library (253 Flinders Lane) this Saturday 24th January from 11 - 4pm.

This fabulous market features the wares of students and emerging designers in homewares, textiles, art, fashion, accessories and plenty of jewellery.

There will be lots to pretty things to see and nice people to talk to so pop in and say hello!
